Vampires and werewolves do not mix well together, but Jamie has some fail safes in place so she'll have to help him after he wakes her up if she wants to live.Iona has been trapped within her body for 15 years and now all she wants is revenge. She was trapped by the same man who destroyed Jamie's pack. Latham trapped her because she told him no and he's psycho. She doesn't trust Jamie, doesn't want to help him. But then, she wants Latham dead, so they have a common purpose.
This book is ok to me. I feel the relationship between Jamie and Iona develops too quickly. This book delivers all of the basics you would look for in a love story, but I didn't get as emotionally connected with the characters as I would have liked to. It's not a bad read, and it's pretty quick, but I didn't feel it brought anything new to me. So it's not bad, but could be better.

Excellent novella. Cynthia has such a talent for engaging the reader without having them feel cheated. She gets information to us including back story while keeping the action and plot moving. There have been times where I wished a novella was a novel because I found it lacking. I can honestly say that I've never felt that with one of Cynthia's novellas.
Jamie awakens the blood queen (Iona) to use her in a plot yo seek vengeance against Latham. She also wants vengeance against him because he is the one who had her cursed into a immobile state where she even appeared dead.
Iona is a born vampire but also a witch a very powerful. Latham has been taking her blood for the past 15 yrs making him very strong.
When Jamie awakens her s does it with his blood bonding them for life. Iona doesn't believe it at first and is livid.
Great story with non-stop action. Enjoy the ride )!
I've been following this series ever since the first (Bound by Blood) and was super-excited when Bound By the Night came out. I devoured it within the hour. This story was a fast read and kept me entertained throughout the story. Just for reference, the length of this story is 1355 on the . I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. It was fast, sexy, full of action, and good characters as well as a good plot and storyline. provided a good description of the story, so I won't repeat it. In all, I really enjoyed reading about Jamie and Iona's relationship. There was an undeniable physical attraction, but there was also a deeper and emotional connection between these two characters. There were also some really sexy and sweet tender moments between these two that I loved. Jamie and Iona were such wounded and tortured individuals due to their dark pasts, but that's what made them all the more interesting.
Overall, Bound by the Night is another great addition to the 'Bound' series by Cynthia Eden. I really liked it and would recommend this for those seeking out a sexy and good vampire/werewolf paranormal romance. Cynthia Eden doesn't disappoint!
This book in the series I think was my favorite of the box set. It was I bit different. Vampires, werewolves, and witches but it seemed that it was more fairytale which I loved! You all know the deal the princess is locked in a tower and her prince kisses her and wakes her from her slumber? We in this version its a bit bloodier and has revenge!! No immediate rides off into the sunset for this couple and also instead of a princess its a Queen being rescued not any queen though a powerful one with a thirst for blood that cannot be quenched with just any blood. Oh and did I mention that Jamie the lead dominate male of this tale well he sports a tail ;) AND a sexy Irish brouge all while reading I could picture an accent while he spoke kinda makes me sigh.... anyways though!! Jamie formulates a plan to catch his revenge all the while not thinking of anyone else and being blinded by the red blood of his revenge which will take a hard toll on the one he is desperately trying to hold on to

Jamie is fine with this at first, but the more time he spends with his fierce queen the harder he falls. Ultimately, Jamie will make the biggest and most dangerous sacrifice of his life in order to give Iona that which she had been denied. A choice between her freedom, or the decision to love and stand by his side forevermore.
Although this is the fourth book in a series, each of these stories completely stands alone. I really loved Jamie and though I couldn't connect with Iona much, I did like her. Keep in mind that she's a queen and around sixteen-hundred years old so she's not your typical female. This story just didn't seem quite as suspenseful as the others, but Ms. Eden did throw in a couple of surprises along the way. I do wish we had seen more of the villain, and that the romance had had more sparks and not felt so rushed but for a short story it was decent. Overall I didn't love this one, but it was still a quick and enjoyable read.
